Slaverythink: Congressman warns govt flu vaccine causes neurological damage
Inside the Beltway Oct. 14: Rep. Dan Burton, Indiana Republican, feels it is his duty to inform Americans about the "contents" of their influenza vaccines.
"As we approach the flu season, many of you will visit the doctor's office and receive an annual influenza vaccine. This might prevent the flu, but what else will it do?" Mr. Burton said. "You should be aware that the vaccine you are about to receive contains thimerosal — a mercury-laden preservative."
Mr. Burton says scientific evidence "continues to accumulate" regarding a biologically plausible connection between the preservative and certain neurological disorders. Some scientists have attributed the growth in Alzheimer's disease and autism to mercury found in certain vaccines.
During his chairmanship of the Government Reform Committee, Mr. Burton held numerous hearings on possible adverse effects of thimerosal.

Clark's role in Waco murders examined
Insight October 15: There is the 1993 siege of David Koresh's Mount Carmel commune in Waco, Texas, where four law-enforcement officers were killed and nearly 90 civilians - men, women and children - massacred by being shot and/or burned alive. Those seeking an investigation of his part in the Waco outrage say that Clark not only played a hidden role in the military-style assault on the Branch Davidians, but easily could have refused to participate in what was a clear violation of the Posse Comitatus Act that bars use of the U.S. military for civilian law-enforcement activities.
Although Clark never publicly has discussed his role in the attack on the Branch Davidians and did not respond to Insight's requests for an interview to discuss his role at Waco, there are indisputable facts that confirm he had knowledge of the grim plans to bring the standoff to an end. Between August 1992 and April 1994, Clark was commander of the 1st Cavalry Division of the Army's III Corps at Fort Hood, Texas. According to a report by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, the list of military personnel and equipment used at Waco included: 15 active-duty military personnel, 13 Texas National Guard personnel, nine Bradley fighting vehicles, five combat-engineer vehicles, one tank-retrieval vehicle and two M1A1 Abrams tanks. Additionally, Fort Hood reportedly was used for much of the training for the bloody attack on the Davidians and their children.
Based on the fact that military equipment from Fort Hood was used in the siege and that training was provided there, say critics, it is clear the commanding officer of the 1st Cavalry had direct knowledge of the attack and, more likely than not, was involved in the tactical planning.
West Point graduate Joseph Mehrten Jr. tells Insight that, "Clark had to have knowledge about the plan because there is no way anyone could have gotten combat vehicles off that base without his okay. The M1A1 Abrams armor is classified 'Secret,' and maybe even 'Top Secret,' . . . Each of these M1A1 Abrams vehicles is armed with a 125-millimeter cannon, a 50-caliber machine gun and two 30-caliber machine guns, which are all very heavily controlled items, requiring controls much like a chain of legal custody. It is of critical importance that such vehicles could not have been moved for use at Waco without Clark's knowledge."

Feds classify 133 private inventions in FY2003
From FAS' Secrecy News"Over the past year, 133 secrecy orders were imposed on new patent applications, limiting or preventing their disclosure on grounds that they could be "detrimental to the national security." More than half of the new orders affected private inventors who developed their inventions without government funding or support.
The legal authority for patent secrecy orders derives from the Invention Secrecy Act of 1951, which provides for government review of patent applications related to a wide range of military technologies, and authorizes the government to regulate or prevent their disclosure.
At the end of fiscal year 2003, there were a total of 4,838 secrecy orders still in effect, according to statistics released this week by the Patent and Trademark Office under the Freedom of Information Act.
http://www.fas.org/sgp/othergov/invention/stats.html
The Invention Secrecy Act and the Atomic Energy Act are the only statutes that assert a government right to prevent the publication of privately-generated information, a provision that appears to be at odds with the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
Secrecy orders imposed on such private inventors are termed "John Doe" orders. Last year, an unusually large 75 of the 133 new secrecy orders were John Doe orders. The nature of these secret inventions could not, of course, be ascertained.
Further information on the Invention Secrecy Act of 1951, including the declassified 1971 edition of the "patent security category review list" (newly posted) which defines the technology areas subject to patent secrecy, may be found here:

Italian Defense Minister accused of being Mason
Today in Italy: Special service by AGI on behalf of the Italian Prime Minister's office:FREEMASONRY: COSSIGA TELLS MARTINO, "YOU HAVE PREJUDICES" (AGI) - Rome, Oct 13 - Former Italian President Francesco Cossiga has formally apologised to Antonio Martino for calling him a Mason, and in a statement issued today he said he was very sorry for what happened. He added, "I noticed the resentful tone in which he denied this ('he lied') which despite being liberal and 'American', he still has prejudices against this institution". However he is right to deny this, because there are persistent rumours even in the Ministry for Defence. Cossiga stated, "I am very sorry for causing him difficulties when I stated that he was a Mason. This was just to demonstrate the nature of the piazza del Gesu' institution and the fact that many gentlemen swell the ranks of the Masonry. In fact "much of the political class during the Risorgimento and before Fascism belonged to the Masonry", such as Sicilian Principe di Paterno. Cossiga concluded, "if Antonio Martino is not a Mason, he did well to deny it, because denying my statement he has denied widespread rumours within political, university and social circles in Italy and within his own Ministry. It is right that he knows that part of the authority rightly associated with him has been also linked to his alleged membership of the Masonry and with the influential Masonry in the United States". (AGI) 131340 OTT 03 TOTAL INFORMATION ANALYSIS: Martino is the Defense Minister of Italy. His c.v. includes connections to many American institutoins such as the Heritage Foundation and the Cato Institute.
Masons of course, have nothing obligating them to be honest about their membership. Doth Martino protest too much at the apparently widespread talk he is a Mason? Or does he honestly want to distance himself from this murderous institution?

Feds promote Waco perp
San Antonio Express-News Oct. 12:Davy Aguilera . . . was the ATF agent whose firearms investigation of the Branch Davidians led to a raid on their compound near Waco on Feb. 28, 1993.
The ill-fated raid claimed four U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms agents and six Davidians and sparked a 51-day standoff that ended in the deaths of 76 Davidians — including the religious sect's leader, David Koresh. . . .
He's heading the ATF field office in San Antonio, the latest stop on a road that has taken him to agency jobs in Mexico and supervisory posts in New Jersey and Washington. . . .
On the morning of the raid, Aguilera and other agents went to the Mount Carmel compound to arrest Koresh and serve a search warrant alleging that Koresh and his followers were stockpiling illegal automatic weapons and explosives.
Aguilera boarded one of three helicopters — what he said was part of an airborne diversion — while agents rode cattle trailers and headed for the compound's doors. . . .
ATF agents shot from the choppers at the Davidians first, and that the FBI knocked down the walls with tanks in the subsequent siege to hide evidence . . .
"We didn't do anything wrong," Aguilera said.. . .
Now the head of a 10-agent office, Aguilera enthusiastically talks about his plans to make the ATF more recognizable for its assault . . . TOTAL INFORMATION ANALYSIS: Edited for propaganda.

Arnold & Carlyle
San Francisco Chronicle Sept. 22:Schwarzenegger was dogged by persistent protesters and hecklers Sunday, as he tried to seize the environmental mantle, proposing a $60 million "hydrogen highway" he said would provide a statewide chain of hydrogen fueling stations to help clean the air.
"As governor, I will create a network of . . . clean hydrogen fueling stations every 20 miles," said Schwarzenegger, who provided few specifics on paying for such a plan.
"These hydrogen highways funded by private-public partnerships will allow car manufacturers to make good on their pledge to deliver hundreds of thousands of clean hydrogen cars on the California roads before the end of the decade," the actor said. . . .
GOP fund-raiser Bob Grady, a managing director of the Carlyle Group, said that as an environmental adviser to Schwarzenegger he is convinced of the actor's credentials.

Feds stonewall OKBOMB case
Reuters October 13Oklahoma prosecutors have warned U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft that lack of federal cooperation could lead to the dismissal of state murder charges against Oklahoma City bombing conspirator Terry Nichols.
In a letter to Ashcroft released on Friday, Oklahoma County District Attorney Wes Lane says an Oklahoma judge may dismiss the case against Nichols because his defense team has not been allowed to depose federal government witnesses.
"The unwillingness of the federal government has brought this case to the brink of dismissal," Lane says in the letter. "There has been NO progress."

FBI, Mossad funded Hamas
Associated Press: The counterterrorism operation in 1998 and 1999 was run out of the FBI's Phoenix office in cooperation with Israeli intelligence and was approved by Attorney General Janet Reno FBI officials told The Associated Press.
Several thousand dollars in U.S. money was sent to suspected terror supporters during the operation as the FBI tried to track the flow of cash through terror organizations, the FBI said in a rare acknowledgment of an undercover sting that never resulted in prosecutions.
One of the FBI's key operatives, who has had a falling out with the bureau, provided an account of the operation at a friend's closed immigration court proceeding. AP obtained and reviewed the court documents.
Arizona businessman Harry Ellen testified he permitted the FBI to bug his home, car and office, allowed his Muslim foundation's activities in the Gaza Strip to be monitored by agents, arranged a peace meeting between major Palestinian activists and gained personal access to Yasser Arafat
