Would Schwarzenegger be where he is today without a Nazi using state power to smooth his way?A seemingly insignificant detail about Arnold Schwarzenegger’s service in the Austrian army, the fact that his father (ostensibly nothing but a small town police chief) was able to pull strings in a number of ways is noteworthy. Anyone even remotely familiar with military protocol would understand that Schwarzenegger’s father under normal circumstances would never have been able to prevail on the Austrian army to change its regulations in such dramatic fashion just for his son. “Besides, according to Arnold, Gustav had smoothed the path for his younger son by using his influence to have him stationed at a camp near Graz. He had also pulled strings so that Arnold, characteristically impressed by the size and power of tanks, could be a tank driver. Arnold claims that, thanks to Gustav’s influence, the Austrian Army made an exception to the required tank driver’s minimum age, lowering it from twenty-one to eighteen, thus enabling him to fulfill his ambition.” (Arnold: The Unauthorized Biography; p. 34.)
Perhaps even more striking is Schwarzenegger’s contention that he forgot to engage the brake after parking a tank, that it rolled into the river as a result, and that he was not disciplined for his negligence! Talk to a military veteran about this. Ask their opinion. . . . "Once he ‘parked’ a tank but forgot to put the brake on. The tank rolled into the river. According to Arnold, there were no consequences.” (Idem.)
Reminiscent of George W. Bush’s AWOL stint from the Texas Air National Guard (performed with impunity due to his father’s status), Schwarzenegger, too, was able to skip out from the Austrian army in order to compete in a contest. “He knew exactly what he wanted. And he had taken great risks to obtain it. For despite being the product of Gustav’s school of obedience and discipline, Arnold, as he would many times in his career, had gambled. To compete in Stuttgart he had gone AWOL.” (Ibid.; p. 35.)
KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine - A woman walking along a beach about a mile from former President Bush's summer home Sunday found what appeared to be body parts on the shore, police said.
The state medical examiner will inspect the items, which include at least one bone and what appeared to be internal organs, said Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the state Public Safety Department. He said it wasn't immediately known if they were human.
Kennebunkport police contacted the state medical examiner's office after the discovery.
The area where the parts were found - a rocky stretch of shore known as Colony Beach - is about a mile from the Bush compound, said Sgt. Chris Simeoni of the Kennebunkport police.

But considering that the plane looks nothing like a Boeing airliner and cintemporary eyewitness accounts mentioned a "commuter jet," it is not at all clear the first tower strike was United Flight 11. Nev. CV-S-94-795-PMP) and Frost v. Perry (D. Nev. CV-S-94-714-PMP), from any applicable requirement for the disclosure to unauthorized persons of classified information concerning that operating location. Therefore, pursuant to 42 U.S.C. 6961(a), I hereby exempt the Air Force's operating location near Groom Lake, Nevada, from any Federal, State, interstate or local provision respecting control and abatement of solid waste or hazardous waste disposal that would require the disclosure of classified information concerning the operating location to any unauthorized person. This exemption shall be effective for the full one-year statutory period.

Incongruously, Clark supporters and mainstream media seem to purport that he is running on an "antiwar" ticket. Only a few, including the Christian Science Monitor, believe that Clark could outflank Bush in his belligerence.
It's as if everyone has forgotten Wesley Clark was the Bomber of Belgrade, the highest-ranking military official in a cabal that systematically violated international law, the NATO Charter (and with it the US Constitution, Article 6, Section 2) and committed the greatest crime under the Nuremburg principles: that against peace.
Even Michael Moore, the gut-punch filmmaker who challenged the NATO attack (after a fashion) in his Oscar-winning feature "Bowling for Columbine," recently gushed over Clark. What has possessed all these people to believe that the answer to George W. Bush's policy of Global Balkanization lies in a man whose hands are drenched in Balkans blood?

Clark's BBC profile notes the general's words at the beginning of NATO's 1999 aerial aggression:
"We're going to systematically and progressively attack, disrupt, degrade, devastate and ultimately, unless President Milosevic complies with the demands of the international community, we're going to destroy his forces and their facilities and support," he said.
Systematically, he said. Destroy, he said. Facilities and support, he said. The bombing was indeed systematic – bridges, schools, hospitals, passenger trains, buses, refugee columns, marketplaces, anything that could be hit except the Yugoslav military, which successfully camouflaged its systems and avoided most attacks. Apparently, for Clark and his coterie, the "facilities and support" of the Yugoslav military were the people and infrastructure of Serbia itself . . .
Russia tried to ensure NATO lived up to the bargain by sending troops to Kosovo. When the invading British troops encountered the Russians at the Pristina airport, Clark hysterically ordered British commander General Sir Michael Jackson to dislodge them by force. Jackson refused, reportedly saying, "I'm not going to start the Third World War for you."
Venezuela’s vice president has accused the United States of participating in a 2002 coup that briefly toppled President Hugo Chavez.TOTAL INFORMATION ANALYSIS: It will be interesting to see if he starts naming names.
Jose Vicente Rangel made his comments while comparing the April 11, 2002 coup in Venezuela to the September 11, 1973 uprising that deposed Chilean president Salvador Allende.
He said both coups were acts of “terrorism” comparable to the September 11, 2001, attacks against America.
September 11 “is a date that represents terrorism for both the American and Chilean people”, Rangel said.
The Venezuelan coup “was in the same mould with the same characteristics as the one that happened in Chile. The same format, the same social sectors, the same group of treacherous generals and also the participation of the United States,” he added.

Hagstrom has a chapter on Disney in his The Warren Buffett Way. He quotes Buffett as extremely enthusiastic about Disney’s merger with Capital Cities/ABC. Because of his enthusiasm Buffett says,The feds repeatedly framed Springmeyer until they could lock him up in federal prison. Obviously his work has them worried.

MATTHEWS: They’ve become a force to be reckoned with on Capitol Hill, at the Justice Department, and at the White House. . . .
Kristen Brietweiser lost her husband, Ron, who worked in the south tower. And Patty Casazza lost her husband, who was in the north tower.
Kristen, when you think back on that horrible day, in your mind’s eye, what do you think could have been done to prevent it?
KRISTEN BRIETWEISER, WIFE OF 9/11 VICTIM: Certainly, I think that the government could have acted more swiftly, acted more decisively.
When you have a president of the United States remaining seated, listening to second graders read to him for 25 minutes after the second tower was hit, certainly that could have been run more smoothly.
When you have a secretary of defense remaining at his desk at the Pentagon, and unknown to him was the plane that hit the Pentagon until the plane hit the building, you know, that’s a problem.
The plane that hit the Pentagon hit an hour after the attacks in New York. What exactly was the secretary of defense doing at his desk? He should have been in the war room. He should have been making decisions. He should have been protecting me and the 3,000 others who were in the towers.
I was under the understanding that when you took an oath of office, you swore to protect, lead and serve. On the morning of September 11, I question how many of our leaders actually were doing that.
MATTHEWS: Patty, do you share that criticism, that they just lacked the basic human instinct to go on the defensive and move?
PATTY CASAZZA, WIFE OF 9/11 VICTIM: I don’t know if it was a lack of human instinct or perhaps even something more sinister.
MATTHEWS: What do you think it was? When you think it hard.
CASAZZA: Well, when we looked at, when we investigated standard protocols and procedures of, let’s say, NORAD, who was supposed to scramble jets to accompany planes that were off course or whose transponders were turned off, those policies and procedures happen on a daily basis.
And on 9/11, no jets were scrambled until after the Pentagon was hit. That was at 9:38. The first plane was declared hijacked between 8:13 and 8:20. That’s an hour and a half time which NORAD had to scramble the jets.
In the case of Payne Stewart, they scrambled jets within six minutes.
And that was a well-documented rescue attempt. . . .
MATTHEWS: Let me ask Kristen, what do you think of President Bush in term of his handling of 9/11? Just as a person, from that first second when he got the word that the planes, a plane had hit one of the towers.
BREITWEISER: You know, I think that there seems to be no sense of urgency since 9/11 on behalf of the administration the president, certain members of Congress . . .
MATTHEWS: If you were sitting with vice president Dick Cheney now, who’s the real powerhouse in this administration, and could you grill him and he was under sodium pentathol, what would you want to know from him?
BREITWEISER: I would want to know exactly where he was on the morning of 9/11, at exactly what time the jets were scrambled, why was there a failure of the city of New York to effectively evacuate those buildings?
I would want to know why certain members of the bin Laden family and certain Saudi individuals were flown out of the country a few days after the attacks, prior to them being asked questions by the FBI.
I would want to know whether the FBI was, in fact, investigating any of the 19 terrorists.
I would want to know why 28 pages of the joint inquiries report are not being released to the American public.
I would want to know why the American public is not being fully informed as to what went wrong on the morning of September 11 and why there seems to be no sense of concern on behalf of the administration to assure the American public that things have been fixed and that they are safe living in this country. . .
MATTHEWS:Bill Clinton, do you blame him at all?
BREITWEISER: Listen, I think there were certainly some failures. When you look into the 9/11 hijackers, this goes back years. I mean, you look at the meetings in Malaysia. We’ve read GAO reports. We’ve read congressional testimony on behalf of FBI supervisors and, you know, the CIA directors.
This is not just about the Bush administration. This is about the Clinton administration. This is about the Reagan administration, the first Bush administration. I mean, this goes back. This is not just focused on, you know, Bush W.’s administration. There were clearly failures.
And you know what? We need to fix these problems. We need to look at our foreign policy. We need to really start informing the American people so that we can make decisions, both at the polls and at the pumps, because.
MATTHEWS: Who is winning, Kristen? You people, trying to open the files or the people like Cheney you say are trying to keep them closed?
BREITWEISER: All I can say, Chris, is that we’re not going away.
