It seems some 9/11 researcher/artists were filming a presentation in Southern Manhattan when they were ambushed by a gang blackshirts who in turn eventually called NYPD. Here is the account of Nico Haupt, anyway:
During a PR session for prominent guest Rosalee Grable aka TheWebfairy (Chicago), nearby WTC 7; a new incident triggered 11 Port Authority Cops to show up and investigate a harrassment case.
While talking about his new video "NicoHitler - Mein Kampf 2", Haupt decided to deliver his black moustache tape to "no-planer" Matt Lepacek , who was in a heavy debate with Paula Gloria and TheWebfairy, filmed and streamed by both of them. At one point, Haupt removed his Hitler moustache and tried to deliver it to Matt Lepacek with the words, "You are a better Hitler than me".
Lepacek rejected the Hitler Tape, while at the same time PrisonPlanet follower Luke Rudkowski showed up and Haupt considered to give the black prop to Rudkowski.
Suddenly Rudkowski threatened Haupt with his camera and tried to beat him. Yet another attempt to give the moustache to his girlfriend Sabrina Rivera instead, ended without success.
She throw her camera at him and tried to beat him too, while hitting Paula Gloria's camera to the Ground. Haupt tried to defend himself, but got hit by Sabrina's Camera, which apparently looked like he was touching her Camera first. Rudkowski yelled and decided to call 11 Cops on Haupt.
After some longer investigation and shifting through footage, the Port Authority Cops decided to let both Rivera and Haupt go, but handed out a [summons] for June 18th.
Haupt had a weaker case today, because he showed up with an expired ID.
However the Cops smiled at him, while listening to his 9/11 TV Fakery Facts. Haupt promised to show up at Court, in time, surely not without "Exhibit A", his NicoHitler beard ;
"The Israeli newspaper Ma'ariv on Wednesday reported that Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu told an audience at Bar Ilan university that the September 11, 2001 terror attacks had been beneficial for Israel.
"We are benefiting from one thing, and that is the attack on the Twin Towers and Pentagon, and the American struggle in Iraq," Ma'ariv quoted the former prime minister as saying. He reportedly added that these events "swung American public opinion in our favor."
Netanyahu reportedly made the comments during a conference at Bar-Ilan University on the division of Jerusalem as part of a peace deal with the Palestinians. -----
"[Saturday night], a group of about 20 D.C.-area libertarians headed down to the Thomas Jefferson Memorial for some flash mob fun. The prank was harmless revelry: To ring in Jefferson’s birthday, we would meet on the steps of the memorial at 11:55pm, wearing iPods, then dance for about 10 minutes, capture the whole thing on video, and leave...
By the time we arrived it was already over. The National Park Police broke the whole thing up just a few minutes in, punctuating their lack of a sense of humor by arresting one of the dancers . . . She was cuffed, taken out to a paddy wagon, then booked and held at a Park Police station. Everyone I spoke with says there was no noise, there were no threats, and no laws broken (the park police I spoke with–including the arresting officer (who, oddly enough, denied to me that he was the arresting officer)–declined to say why she had been arrested).
The police refused to answer any questions, referring all calls to the communication number of the Park Police, which at this hour is closed. They also refused to give their badge numbers...
She was barely even dancing. Her crime was apparently to ask “why?” when the park police told the group they had to disperse. Note too that this was at around midnight. No one was bumping into tourists, or obstructing anyone’s way. I guess the only conclusion, here, is that it’s apparently illegal to dance on the steps of the Jefferson Memorial–even with headphones. You know, post 9-11 world and all. Harmless fun will be interpreted in the most threatening context imaginable. Whimsy and frivolity will not be tolerated.
Of course, the real irony here is that all of this happened at the Jefferson Memorial, in observance of Jefferson’s birthday. Go out to celebrate the birth of the most hardcore, anti-authoritarian of the Founding Fathers, get hauled off in handcuffs. The photo’s almost poetry, isn’t it? One of history’s most articulate critics of abuse of state authority looks on as a park police cop uses his elbow to push a female arrestee into one of said critic’s memorial pillars.
The people I spoke with say the other officer pictured in the foreground of this photo told the rest of the group to “shut the fuck up.” When one person politely asked why it was unnecessary to use the word “fuck,” the officer replied that if the guy who asked the question used any more profanity, he too would find himself arrested. -----

The New York City Police Department is pulling out all the stops to protect Pope Benedict XVI during his visit to New York next week. From rooftop snipers to hovering helicopters, it will all resemble the security operations used to protect the president.
It's an operation that will involve virtually the entire NYPD. And if you're trying to move around Manhattan when the pope is here, it will affect you, too.
It begins for us next Friday with the papal arrival and a speech at the United Nations right at the start of the business day. As a city, this is when we'll feel the biggest traffic impact because the pope will leave the U.N. and visit both the Park East Synagogue on 67th Street and Fifth Avenue, and St. Joseph's Church on East 87th before retiring to the papal residence on 72nd Street.

"IVAW members seize National Archives Building on March 19th, 2008 in front of hundreds of surprised museum visitors. Response from visitors including teachers, students, vacationers was highly positive though there were a few horrified faces in the crowd. IVAW read the terms of our Citizens Arrest Warrant and stood their ground for 90 minutes. They were allowed to leave without being arrested in one of the most spectacular CD events I've ever witnessed. Next stop was the Justice Department where the call for Bush and Cheney arrest was repeated, and then the White House where similar demands were made. This action comes on the heels of IVAW's Winter Soldier Investigation: Iraq and Afghanistan, held at the National Labor College in Silver Springs, M.D. on March 13-16, 2008, where these and many other vets from the Iraq and Afghanistan war testified about their experiences. And now Wonkette's own Liz Glover says the National Guard actually burnt D.C. to the ground, not the freaked-out rioters.
Liz writes from her yoga studio on H Street NE:
I learned from my uncle today — who was in the National Guard shortly after the riots in '68 when King was assassinated — that the Guard used flammable tear gas canisters when quelling the riots.
He believes that the city was burned not by rioters who were allegedly setting the buildings on fire, but by the canisters.
When he asked a commander about it the commander simply said, "We don't discuss that."
But for all these years, the self righteous have been scolding the rioters with the "What kind of animals burn their own stores and homes to the ground?" routine when it was actually the National Guard.
